Pull Yourself Together March 16, 2010

You know there is a really awesome book called “Eat, Love, Pray” , one I highly recommend, and in it the author says, “just because you can fall apart, doesn’t mean you should.” Don’t you just love it? It is so true. It would be so easy to fall apart and drop your bundle at the first sign of trouble, but it really doesn’t always serve us.  Sometimes we just need to pull ourselves together and get on with it. At other times we feel so scattered and all over the place that we can’t focus on anything, we can’t concentrate and we are just disjointed and disorientated. I’m sure you have felt like that too. You know the days when you’re not in your body. It often occurs when you still have your energy stuck in something that happened yesterday or worried about something that is yet to come but one thing is for sure, you are not here, where you are needed. You are just all over the shop.

So how do we pull ourselves together? Well this is one of my favourite ways and it is easy and it works.

  1. Take yourself outside and put your feet on the grass
  2. Feel a channel of energy running up your spine and up and out the top of your head, connecting you with source.
  3. See this same energy run down your spine, down out the soles of your feet and down into mother earth.
  4. Allow this energy to travel up and down along your spine, from source to mother earth and back again until you feel connected.
  5. Now simple stretch your arms and ask… “ may all the pieces of me, scattered throughout the universe, in this lifetime or any other, come back to me now.”
  6. Feel yourself pulling together, reconnecting and being whole again.

Use this exercise as often as you like and whenever you feel you need to pull yourself together.

Give it a go; I think you will be surprised.

From my soul to yours

With love
